MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE INCUMBENT

The primary component of this role is to supervise the day and nightshift cleaning teams in performing cleaning duties and associated tasks. Work will be performed in accordance with Air Chefs Operations Handbook, and within the framework of food safety and existing schedule

Duties and Responsibilities

 Liaise with the Manager on a daily basis regarding current tasks, and assist in the planning of future tasks.

 Ensure all assigned duties are carried out, and that resources are efficiently utilized

 Maintain and control use of stock, equipment & consumables.

 Timeously request purchase of consumables, equipment and materials.

 Assist the Manager to maintain the asset register.

 Monitor and report absenteeism to the Manager.

 Actively promote Health and Safety, and report any breach directly to the Manager.

 Ensure that all staff wear all appropriate PPE.

 Where required, gather and provide information on a daily, monthly and annual basis, including schedules, consumable issues and usage etc.

 Prepare overtime rosters for approval by the Manager.

 Check all equipment that requires replacement items as needed.

 Report faulty equipment to the Manager within 12 hours of breakdown.

 Ensure housekeeping standards are met and maintained in all facilities, and report shortcomings/faults to the manager

 Monitor standards and compliance of work performed by outsourced contractors.

Monitor and assist in planning for holiday work requirements (bi/annual cleaning work).

 Other duties as assigned

 As and when required additional task will be given

 Be able to shifts according to operational requirements

 Deep cleaning

 Monitor and Ensure adherence to deep cleaning specialized task

 Monitor and Ensure adherence to strict Halaal Ethics, its Codes and Conducts.

 Comply with IR initiatives, policies, procedures, agreements & company values

 Perform according to company time and motion requirements.

 Recommends cost saving initiatives and control expenditure within approved parameters.

 Manage equipment and stock effectively

 Manages subordinates' activities to ensure the achievement of targets and standards.

 Manage time and attendance of sub-ordinates

 Fill in all cleaning documents and control them

 Sign time and attendance register with accuracy

 Report two hours before the shift commences and sign sick leave forms

 Sign leave forms

 Attend all company mandatory training

 Sign KPI and Job Description

 Continually participate in opportunities to improve productivity

 Support initiatives that deliver growth to the business Continuously

Adhere to all guidelines related to Security, SHEQ and operational policies and procedures.

 Identify and report all unsafe conditions and work practices

Comply with all food safety regulations

 Stock take

 Assign work and monitor the adherence by service providers according to the scope of work as determined in service level agreements


Candidate Requirements

Education Level: (minimum)

Grade 12

Training and Experience:

• 2-year experience in managing employees

• Food Safety Training

• Drivers licence

• Good communication

• Computer literacy

• Honest and reliable
